Modern trends in pharmacoinformatics.

ABSTRACT

         This information of a declarative type opens a new rubric in the «Clinical Informatics and Telemedicine» journal and is dedicated to the problems of pharmaceutical information theory. Pharmacoinformatics can be defined as a new rapidly developing complex scientific trend combining the achievements in the field of information technologies with the tasks of pharmaceutical science and medical product industry. The scope of questions studied by pharmacoinformatics is not quite defined nowadays. However, taking into account modern trends in pharmacoinformatics, the article presents the characteristics of tasks and methods of this scientific trend. The authors believe that the materials which are going to be published in this rubric will be of interest not only for the specialists dealing with certain questions of pharmacoinformatics, but also for those involved in practical pharmacy and medicine.
